Is there a free trial?
Yes — every new account gets $2 in trial credits automatically. No credit card required to start.
How many languages can my audience read in?
You pick up to 3 audience languages when you start a session, from 40 supported. Each listener chooses one of those on their phone and can switch at any time.
Are glossaries and transcripts available on all plans?
Yes. Every plan includes custom glossaries (for domain-specific terminology like medical or religious terms) and session transcripts, which you turn on in settings. Transcript retention varies: 30 days on Starter, 90 days on Growth, 1 year on Pro.
Does my audience need to install anything?
No. Audience members scan a QR code and see captions in their browser. No app, no account, no install — ever.
Can I use Captio for large conferences?
Captio currently supports one speaker per session. For multi-speaker panels or events requiring SLA guarantees, contact us. A DPA is available on request on the Pro plan.
